Scientists and Engineers for Change is a political committee to bring new ideas to the political agenda, but uses a very old technique. Rather than raising and spending money on brief television and radio commercials, we are sponsoring campus lectures and events featuring prominent scientists and engineers. Since we began the final week of September we've had 5 speakers do events on 8 campuses in Oregon, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. We've reached several thousand students directly and many more through the two dozen media interviews our speakers have done. We have more than a dozen events left before the end of October with almost two dozen Nobel Laureates, National Medal of Technology winners and other prominent scientists and engineers. We need contributions to keep going at this blistering rate! Please contribute generously to our efforts so we can dispatch more speakers and mobilize more scientists and engineers to participate in the political process.
