(Update) I am now living in Clearwater, FL with my wife of 25 years and girlfriend of 34, and surprisingly, they’re both the same woman. Go figure.
I was born and raised in Chicago but have lived the last 27 years in Maryland. I’ve worked in home construction, was a mainframe computer tech, sold comic books at conventions, designed and administered web sites and was primarily a full-time housedad for 21 years raising my two daughters.
In 2003 I became a supporter of Gov. Howard Dean’s candidacy for the presidency and was the Dean Meetup coordinator for Howard County, MD. Afterward I became a volunteer for the county Democratic Committee and ran for a position (and lost) on the Committee in 2006. I was web administrator for redefeatbush.com and web designer and admin for Scientists and Engineers for Change, an organization of Nobel Prize winning scientists supporting Sen. John Kerry’s bid for the presidency. I have also designed and administered websites for a variety of Democratic and progressive organizations located in Maryland.
This blog is a catch-all to record my observations on technology, politics and every day life.
